Common questions

Can't find what you're looking for? Use the feedback button below.

Where does the data come from?
The app fetches live match data automatically — no account or API key needed.
How often do scores refresh?
Automatically every 60 seconds during a live match. Between matchdays the app refreshes every 5 minutes. You can also force an immediate refresh at any time with the ↻ button in the popup header.
The status bar still shows ⚽ after I set a favourite — why?
The status bar updates on the next minute tick (up to 60 seconds). If the match data hasn't finished loading yet, it will appear once the first fetch completes. Try opening and closing the popup to trigger a fetch immediately.
Can I change or remove my favourite team?
Yes — tap the ⭐ star in the popup header at any time. To remove your favourite, open the picker and tap "Remove favourite" at the top of the list. Your choice is saved across restarts.
How do I make it launch at login?
System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions → click + and select EPLMenuBar from your Applications folder.
How do I quit the app?
Right-click the ⚽ icon in the menu bar and choose "Quit EPL Menu Bar".
Does it support other leagues?
Not yet. The app is focused on the English Premier League. Support for other leagues could be added in a future version.
